ASTEC, Inc, a leading software and solution provider in Japan, and ARE Works, Inc, its subsidiary and a datacenter, merged the two companies on June 1, 2005. The newly formed company operates under the name of Rworks, Inc.

Since its foundation in 1985, ASTEC, now Rworks, has been providing software and technical support for network engineers and software developers of mission critical applications and network systems.

In addition, ASTEC, now Rworks, has a proven track record of successful marketing of overseas software products in Japan, notably UIM/X, GUI Builder and CodeCenter/ObjectCenter, UNIX C/C++ programming environment and ILOG libraries.

ASTEC Eyes on the net

Network analyzer to help analyzing and obtaining network management information and to allow to eliminate troubles on the network.

ASTEC Eyes Remote Module option collects network management information on the remote networks. You may monitor and collect the information for more than one networks each of which has a PC installed with the Remote Module.

Release 1.2 Evaluation Copy is available here. Release 4.2 the latest version, is bilingual. Its GUI, including all the messages, and quick reference (on-line manual), is either in Japanse or English, by user's choice. User's guide (PDF) is available only in Japanese.

ASTEC Eyes for VoIP

Specifically geared to measure the voice quality of VoIP transmission using ratings such as R-value and MOS scores. It has a full capability of ASTEC Eyes on the net 4.2.

ASTEC Eyes VoIP Player (optional) plays backs RTP payload (voice). You can also save the data as WAV file.

ASTEC-X

enables PCs running Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98/95 to call up UNIX windows and applications, adding a virtual UNIX workstation to your desktop PC.
